How to Reduce Phone Usage and Boost Productivity?

In today’s world everyone is bonded with their phones. Almost everyone is addicted to social media and seek attention from others. Today I am going to share my experience of getting rid from your mobile phone. It's not like getting rid, we must use mobile phones to be updated with current news, I would even say that you should make account in every social media to get every world affair sooner and get some benefits from them earlier than others.

So, I have following three straightforward tips to decrease screen time and enhance productivity:

1) Keep your mobile battery percentage Low:

If you're genuinely committed to reducing screen time and increasing productivity, aim to maintain your battery percentage at around 35%. However, do bear in mind that this may vary depending on the device you're using and its rate of battery consumption. Find the battery level that suits your needs best.

How does it work?

Since your battery percentage is already low you do not want to decrease more unless you are an addict and play up to 0%. You just want to use social media for lesser time and as you scroll and your battery percentage naturally decreases, recharge it to reach just 35% and avoid going further. This way, you effectively limit your screen time.

2) Record while studying or doing some tasks:

This tip is particularly beneficial for students who struggle to concentrate while studying. Here's how you can implement it:
- Prepare all your studying materials,

- Open the camera on your mobile phone and begin recording yourself with one hand while using the other hand to write or explain the topic,

- Then stop the recording after you finish your particular topic or question,

- After that watch the recording, listen to your voice, know yourself how you write and how you explain topic,

- If you think you did well in that particular question, you can also delete the video so that mobile storage won’t run out,

-repeat the process until you finish your topic you want to study

If you wish, you can even share these videos on platforms like YouTube to receive feedback from others, enabling you to further improve.

How does it work?

Since you are recording yourself, it feels like you are explaining to someone. Reviewing your video gives you the sight that if you have understood the topic well or not. You can also keep the videos of some difficult question to review it before the exam. It is even faster than reading the whole syllabus.

3) Set Your screen time goal:

Go to your mobile setting, navigate to “digital wellbeing and parental control” and set your screen time goal, since I am also working to decrease my daily screen time, I will share my current screen time compared to last week:

By setting a goal, you can closely monitor and regulate the time you spend on your phone, ultimately leading to improved productivity.
I will update with more tips if I found any in the future!
WARNING! - If you do not have any goals, then above-mentioned tips are just trash for you!
